Affiliation

The Ryan Institute has established three types of affiliation.

Ryan Institute Faculty

Eligibility and requirements:

  • Must have primary faculty appointment at URI
  • Intended for faculty whose research is closely related to the Institute’s mission, i.e. understanding neurodegenerative diseases and developing disease-modifying therapies
  • Will be expected to list Ryan Institute affiliation in papers and presentations

Benefits:

  • Eligible to apply for seed and pilot funding
  • Eligible for support for grant proposal development and submission
  • Eligible for travel and conference support
  • Granted the title of Ryan Research Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor of Neuroscience
  • Receives periodic updates from the Institute
  • Invited to selected Institute events

Request Affiliation

Ryan Institute Collaborating Faculty

Eligibility and requirements:

  • For faculty at other institutions whose research or expertise is closely related to the Institute’s mission

Benefits:

  • Eligible to receive seed and pilot finding for collaborations with Ryan Institute faculty
  • Receives periodic updates from the Institute
  • Invited to selected Institute events

Ryan Institute Affiliate

Intended for anyone with an interest in the Institute and its work: researcher, clinician, caregiver, patient, donor, community member, etc.

Benefits:

  • Receive periodic updates from the Institute
  • Invited to selected Institute events
