Biography
Marin Manuel, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, University of Rhode Island, USA. Prior to this, he was Chargé de Recherche at the Centre National pour la Recherche Scientifique in Paris, France. His research group focuses on spinal cord neurophysiology and studies how normal motor function is affected in pathological conditions. In particular, he is studying how alterations in spinal networks can lead to the degeneration of spinal motor neurons in ALS.
